James Jordan hits back after being trolled over The Real Full Monty: ‘I’m doing it in memory of my dad!’

Wife Ola will also be stripping off

James Jordan has slammed a troll on Twitter after signing up for Strictly The Real Full Monty in memory of his late dad.

Leaded by Ashley Banjo, the former Strictly Come Dancing star will strip off alongside his wife Ola to raise awareness for life-saving cancer checks.

But after a troll poked fun at his upcoming appearance, James hit back at the cruel message.

James Jordan on Twitter

Taking to Twitter yesterday (November 7), James confirmed his upcoming appearance on the show.

Alongside a news article featuring his late dad, the 43-year-old penned: “I wanted to let you all in on something myself & @The_OlaJordan have been working on but couldn’t say.

“I am honoured to be part of an amazing cast of people on TFM, in memory of my dad & dancing again with Ola. Just naked. All for an amazing cause.”

The post was met to plenty of praise from fans, with one saying: “How great of you both, you will make your dad proud.”

A second wrote: “Good luck to both of you let’s hope you raise lots of money… Oh and don’t flash your bits too much.”

Another added: “Brilliant!!! Your dad would be so proud!”

In addition, a fourth joked: “Naked? Hope you’re not doing the jive!”

However, one user took the opportunity to post a cruel comment about James’ appearance.

They shared: “Who wants to see a wrinkly old man in the buffers?”

James later responded to the message, saying: “Have you been asked too?”

The user replied: “I wouldn’t lower myself tbh, ha ha ha.”

The message didn’t go unnoticed by the professional dancer, who was quick to remind the user why he was taking part.

“You do realise it’s all to raise awareness to cancer. Breast cancer and testicular and prostate in particular,” James hit back.

“And I’m doing it in memory of my dad who I lost from cancer. I personally couldn’t think of a better reason.”

James sadly lost his dad Allan in March this year.

What happened to James’ dad?

Allan was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020 after suffering a series of strokes.

Meanwhile, during an appearance on Loose Men, James opened up on his grief.

Back in August, he shared: “I think I started grieving the day I found out he was going to die, so I was grieving for about a year.

“Then obviously we lost him and then you start grieving again. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through.”

Strictly the Full Monty will air sometime in December 2021 on ITV1.
