Jake Quickenden is making a big sacrifice to ensure Dancing On Ice success

He's sticking to the show's strict ban

Some people take their jobs super seriously and it sounds like Jake Quickenden is one of them – after agreeing to a complete sex ban set by the Dancing On Ice judges.

Jake, who found fame on The X Factor, is signed up to the next series of the popular talent show that sees celebrities learn how to dance on the ice rink.

But during the press launch, judge Jason Gardiner explained some of the less desirable rules enforced on the show’s contestants.

“They need to avoid alcohol, any overindulgence on Christmas Day and sex,” he insisted.

“Absolutely no sex. It drains you of your chi.”

Really? Who knew!

While some people might find such a ban hard to adhere to, Jake insists he’s been way too busy to think about any bedroom antics anyway.

“I’m so busy at the moment, chance would be a fine thing,” he joked to Daily Star Online.

Jake then quipped: “Plus I’m engaged now so the ban has been going on for weeks for me.”

He got engaged to his girlfriend – motorcycle champion Carl Fogarty’s daughter Danielle Fogarty – earlier on this year.

And speaking of Danielle, Jake recently said he’s been delving into her wardrobe in a bid to get used to the stretchy costumes he’ll have to wear on the rink!

“I’ve been wearing Danielle’s tights to get used to [the Lycra],” he laughed.

“I just feel so lucky that I’ve been asked to do it. I’m so buzzing, I can’t even explain.

“It’s my mum’s favourite!”
