ITV News blunder

ITV News viewers complain after spotting very rude blooper

A report from Westminster raised a few eyebrows...

ITV viewers hoping to catch up on the latest news from the UK got a little more than they bargained for last night.

On Thursday night’s ITV News bulletin (20 December) at 6pm, the channel spoke live to a reporter outside Westminster.

And those watching at home were quick to spot a swear word appear on the screen!

As Carl Dinnen discussed the latest from parliament and the Brexit negotiations, he had no idea what was passing behind him…

A big yellow bus with the words “[bleep] to Brexit” written on it in huge black lettering!

As the rude bus drove past in the background, an unsuspecting Carl continued with his broadcast none the wiser.

But fans did not fail to see the huge vehicle making its slow progress through London traffic.

One said: “ITV news could not have timed that report better outside Westminster tonight!”

Another added: “@itvnews #ITVNews Timing is everything. @carldinnen.”

A third wrote: “Delighted with the ‘[bleep] To Brexit’ bus on the news tonight money well spent! #itvnews.”

“Amazing what you see on the ITV news these days, check out the slogan on the yellow bus going past in the background, ha,” observed another.

Most saw the funny side of the timing, with one even saying it had been the “highlight” of their day.

Even political correspondent Carl joined in the commentary, later saying: “More ‘blooper’ than ‘blunder’ I would argue.”

We wonder what eagle-eyed TV viewers will spot next…
