David and Billy team up to bring Corrie’s Josh to justice

It looks like the evil mechanic is going to face justice at last - but it might not be what we're expecting

Since Josh said goodbye to Alya and slunk off the cobbles, we Corrie fans have been desperate for the evil rapist to face justice.

But while his victim David Platt has been recovering from his attack, so far there have been no signs that Josh is going to be held responsible for what he did.

Until now.

We know that David is going to strike up an unlikely friendship with Corrie vicar Billy Mayhew in the coming weeks and confide in him about what happened.

Billy will encourage David to seek counselling as a way of coming to terms with the rape, and move on with his life.

But the pair will also team up to track Josh down. So could Billy be the one who finally brings the rapist to justice?

According to reports, Billy will help David find Josh as part of his recovery, and when they do come across the nasty mechanic, David’s horrified to discover he is getting close to another man.

Worried that Josh is going to do the same to this man as he did to David – and Dec, the other victim of Josh’s evil ways that Shona tracked down – the unlikely crime-fighting duo decide to act.

But what will they do to stop Josh in his tracks? Will they force him to come back to Weatherfield? Or will they take justice into their own hands?

Corrie insiders have already revealed that Josh won’t be brought to justice in a traditional way – so we’re guessing he’s not going to prison. And when David bravely reported the crime to police, Josh managed to talk his way out of it.

So could Billy take a leaf out of Peter Barlow’s book and torment David’s attacker the way Peter tortured him? Throw him off a cliff? Or kidnap him?

Or will David take revenge another way? After all, he’s no stranger to lashing out and taking matters into his own hands.
