I’m A Celeb’s Iain Lee BACKTRACKS on jungle bullying denial

Iain says he was 'unaware of what was said'

6Just when we thought the bullying drama that’s plagued this series of I’m A Celebrity had been cleared up once and for all – Iain Lee has taken to Twitter to controversially backtrack on his denial he was targeted in the jungle.

After appearing on I’m A Celebrity Coming Out – filmed after all the contestants had left the camp, he denied being bullied, saying: “There was no bullying going on. Let’s quash this rumour once and for all.

“Bullying is a very serious thing. It’s a huge word. There was no bullying whatsoever.”

Claims had been made that Jamie Lomas, Rebekah Vardy, Dennis Wise and Amir Khan all bad-mouthed Iain while they were in the jungle – and during their exit interviews, too.

However, last night Iain took to social media to apparently backtrack on his denial by revealing that he was ‘unaware’ of things that were said behind his back.

After apparently seeing footage of his campmates’ jungle exits on the Coming Out show, he replied to messages from both Dennis and Rebekah, saying: “I was unaware of a lot of what was being said behind my back and also what some people said about me after they’d left…”

Iain then went on to say that he was worried about the effect his messages would have – knowing he could be potentially opening a whole new can of worms.

His social media messages followed an influx of tweets from viewers who were left tuning after seeing Dennie Wise and Amir Khan apparently celebrating when he was voted out of the show.

Iain was inundated with messages of support from fans, all backing the radio presenter up…

Also on I’m A Celebrity Coming Out, Dennis Wise revealed he believed Iain was playing a game, saying: “Obviously Iain was in there to upset everything in the camp and that was his intention.

“If he’s playing a game he’s played it extremely well. He’s obviously done it for his own reasons and that’s up to Iain to explain himself.”

Rebekah, Jamie, Dennis and Amir all denied the allegations and insisted they were all close friends in the jungle.

Following the messages of support from fans, Iain, who was on a flight home after a break in New Zealand with his sister, replied…

Then, possibly worried that people might take defending his name a step too far, he tweeted again…
