I’m A Celebrity fans jumped for joy at the news Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson was heading into the castle.
However, speaking to Lorraine Kelly today (December 1), his wife Emma predicted the Steve McDonald actor will soon be “annoyed” by the Lords challenge.

Simon and fellow soap icon Adam Woodyatt spent their first few days living it up as Lords of the I’m A Celebrity Castle.
And, while Adam appears to have been loving it, Emma said Simon will just be wanting to “get stuck in”.

Of course, the pair aren’t allowed to lift a finger as part of the task. Instead, other campmates have to wait on them hand and foot.
And, Emma predicts, Simon will soon have enough of sitting around doing nothing.
She told Lorraine we will “possibly” see a “grumpier side” to him.
“I think he wants to have those privileges taken away from him. He’s not one for sitting down and not getting involved in something,” she said.
“It’s going to really annoy him actually. I think he just wants to get stuck in there. Whereas Adam is the other way – he’s loving every second,.
“Simon needs to get involved and get stuck in and I think then we’ll see him more at home.”

Emma also opened up about her husband’s “bond” with Adam.
“They’ve met each other in the past as they’ve been in the soaps for so long, but they weren’t friends as such,” she said.
“But they do seem to have a bond going on, they’re a bit of a double act.”

Emma also revealed how she thinks Simon is faring in the castle.
“He loves the outdoors,” she said. “So he should be finding it a doddle. He’s a real outdoorsy boy.
“He loves wood chopping and camping. When I saw him on screen the other day I thought he looked a lot more relaxed than I thought he would be.
Asked if she’d like to see him covered in spiders, which are his biggest fear, Emma declared: “I hope so.”
She also revealed that she had “absolutely” been voting for him to do the trials.
Emma added that, whether or not he wins the show, Simon will always be her “king”.
And she revealed the real reason he signed up for the show.
Why has Simon signed up for I’m A Celebrity?
“Part of it was the kids badgering him every year to do it,” she said of their sons Henry, Harry and Alfie.
“But he’s getting a little bit older now and, like he said last night, the only thing he’s ever done is Corrie.
“He hasn’t showed everyone there is another side to him, even though he’s quite similar to Steve.
“He needed to go in there and challenge himself,” she said.
