I’m A Celebrity news: ITV announces major change to tonight’s show

Storm Arwen is set to hit Wales

In latest I’m A Celebrity news, the show will be pre-recorded tonight (November 26) due to severe weather conditions.

Ant and Dec usually present the ITV programme live from Gwrych Castle in Wales.

However, the hosts have been forced to record the show in advance as a “precautionary measure” as Storm Arwen sweeps Wales.

ITV confirmed the news in a statement today (November 26).

It read: “Tonight’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be broadcast as a pre-recorded show rather than live due to the developing Storm Arwen and precautionary measures we’re putting into place on production.

“Ant & Dec will record their links early evening and these will be played out during tonight’s show.

“Our celebrities will remain inside the castle which is secure and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios to ensure the safety of our cast and crew.”

The broadcaster also confirmed that the celebrities are “safe”.

Meanwhile, Storm Arwen is due to hit the local area in Wales around 9pm.

It comes after reports claimed that bosses are concerned over campmates quitting the show.

Richard Madeley recently left the castle after falling ill overnight.

The star updated fans on his Instagram account, saying that he couldn’t return to camp because he’d broken the secure COVID bubble.
