Last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity saw Matty and Naughty Boy take part in the Gross Vegas trial. The challenge saw the pair work through various Vegas-themed games to win stars for the camp.

Naughty Boy and Matty had to eat turkey testicles, find joker playing cards in amongst vile castle critters, and were drenched in fish guts and gunge as they tried to catch stars.

The duo walked away from the I’m A Celebrity trial with six stars out of a possible 11. Gross Vegas was Naughty Boy’s 7th trial of the series.

After the celebrities returned to camp, Frankie Bridge and Danny Miller sat with Matty to talk about the trial.

“You don’t seem as happy as I wanted you to be,” Frankie said to Matty.

“No, I am, I was smiling,” he said. The diver then went on to say: “It’s a team thing, you know, we both got to do something, you know?”

Moments later, Matty criticised Naughty Boy for not being his real self.

“It’s interesting, he can turn this media thing on,” he said. “Some people can just turn it on – he does when he’s in there.”

“I couldn’t, I just have to be myself,” Danny said.

Danny also slammed Naughty Boy’s continued involvement in trials as “boring”.

“You know it would be nice to switch it up and chuck a couple of other people in there but the British public wants to see Naughty Boy,” the 30-year-old Emmerdale star said.

However, many I’m A Celebrity fans were less than impressed with Matty’s comments. Many accused the Olympic gold medalist of throwing the music producer “under the bus” after the trial.

“Would be nice to see Matty go out it ain’t cool throwing your campmate under the bus,” one fan wrote. “Yes Naughty Boy isn’t the greatest at trials but considering it was his 7th one he was actually attempting it unlike him.”

“I’m not a Naughty Boy fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I do think it’s a bit harsh to throw him under the bus,” another said. “They’d got more stars if Matty had looked. The coin literally bounced off his head because he wasn’t looking.”

“For someone who’s supposed to work with a teammate for his job, he’s sure quick to throw them under the bus. What the hell was that about?” a third I’m A Celebrity fan asked.

One fan was impressed with Matty’s criticism though and was quick to praise the star.

“Damn was that Matty throwing shade at naughty boy? Bout time!” they wrote.

Later in the same show, Dame Arlene Phillips became the first celebrity to be eliminated from Gwrych Castle. Arlene was the oldest contestant ever at 78.

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge said the show had been harder than she expected, but she was “leaving happily”.

I’m A Celebrity continues tonight (Monday, December 6) at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
