I’m A Celebrity viewers have criticised Ant and Dec for making them worry about Simon Gregson last night (December 9).
The Coronation Street star, 47, was forced to skip yesterday’s trials after suffering from a stomach bug.
Ant and Dec made the announcement shortly before the campmates took part in a school-themed challenge.

The hosts explained that the actor was forced to bow out due to an illness.
Earlier on in the show, Dec said: “Time for a very important challenge now and at stake was a chance to spend an evening at the Castle Inn – the Castle’s very own pub.”
Ant added: “This one involved all the celebrities except for Simon who was suffering from an upset stomach.

“Maybe it was something he ate at yesterday’s trial.”
Dec responded: “I don’t know… he sucks the juice out of a few fish eyes, spits it in a sherry glass, and downs it in one and the next thing you know he’s not well!”
However, the hosts went on to concern fans with a second announcement later on.
Shortly before the campmates arrived at The Castle Inn, Ant and Dec issued a new update on Simon.
Taking on a serious tone, Dec said: “Time for a quick medical update. Earlier, on we told you that due to feeling unwell Simon Gregson was unable to take part in the challenge.”
Ant continued: “He was also unable to take part in the trial for the same reason.”

“And sadly last night Simon was involved in another medical emergency,” Dec explained.
However, the hosts were only joking.
Ant then added: “Yes, he nearly flattened his campmates rushing out the door when someone said, ‘The pub is open!'”

But some viewers failed to see the funny side to Ant and Dec’s joke.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “Don’t do this boys you scared me @antanddec #ImACeleb.”
Another added: “NAH I THOUGHT SIMON HAD LEFT, DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT #ImACeleb.”
A third wrote: “Ant and Dec had me scared for a minute then I thought Simon had left don’t do that to me again.”
I thought Simon had left!
A fourth tweeted: “DON’T do that I thought Simon left then.”
Another complained: “Don’t do that thought #Simon quit then!! I was so sad! #ImACeleb.”
“My heart dropped #ImACeleb,” a sixth posted, while another said: “I WAS SO CONCERNED THEN #ImACeleb.”
