I’m A Celeb viewers lash out at “pointless” campmate

Apparently they'd rather watch paint dry

Vanessa White has been pretty quiet since arriving in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

The Saturdays singer hasn’t done any Bushtucker Trials yet, hasn’t got into any rows or done anything yet that’s been grabbing airtime or headlines.

Which is why some bored viewers have branded the popstar a “pointless” addition to camp.

Jungle fans have taken to Twitter to question why Vanessa is in camp if she’s going to stay in the background.

One wrote: “What’s the point in that Vanessa being in I’m A Celeb? She doesn’t do anything.”

Another agreed: “Vanessa is pointless. She does nothing. She says nothing. Why is she there?? Boring beyond belief. I’d rather watch paint dry.”

However, many more viewers rushed to Vanessa’s defence, pointing out she has no control over how the show is edited.

Others said there’s nothing wrong with being quiet and she’ll come out of her shell in time.

Some viewers have begged for Vanessa to be given a Bushtucker Trial to allow her the limelight – and their prayers have been answered!

It was revealed on yesterday’s Extra Camp that Vanessa will take on the next trial against Amir Khan.

They’ll have to race through the ominously-named Fright House, a huge White House-themed building with rooms including The Pest Wing and Offal Office.

Rather than collecting stars, it will be the first one out who wins.

Viewers have been promised a mammoth task – the biggest one ever that took TWO YEARS to create and features pigeons and a camel for the first time in show history.

I’m A Celeb airs at 9pm on ITV.
