I’m A Celeb… bosses said to be lining up a Love Islander for new series

They are used to visiting hot places...

It gets pretty hot in the I’m A Celebrity… jungle, as contestants camp out in sweltering Australian temperatures.

But this year it’s set to truly sizzle, as the show’s producers are reported to be lining up a proper hunk for the forthcoming series.

And reality fans will know him all too well, as it was only a couple of weeks ago that he was sunning it up on another tropical show – Love Island.

Yes, according to The Sun, Jonny Mitchell has been approached to sign up for the programme – due to start in November – as bosses look to woo female viewers.

“Bosses said he would be the perfect hunk for the show and have asked him to come for a meeting,” a source told the newspaper.

“Obviously, he’s over the moon and would jump at the chance.”

The Essex-born business director caused a ripple in the Love Island villa when he turned up six days after the show started.

Before long, he’d caught the eye of Camilla Thurlow. The pair briefly dated, only for Jonny to dump her in favour of Tyla Carr.

And I’m A Celeb… bosses will now be hoping that he can stir things up a little in the Outback.

“He sparked controversy in the villa, and if he did the same in the jungle it’d make excellent telly viewing – especially if there was a romance,” continued The Sun’s source.

Don’t get your hopes up yet, though, ladies, as nothing’s been set in stone.

A spokesman for I’m A Celebrity… told The Sun: “Any names linked to the new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! are purely speculative.”

Since Jonny left Love Island, the media has been awash with stories about his love life.

He’s been linked with everyone from fellow Love Islander Chyna Ellis to a Russian model.

Before he went into the Love Island villa, he said he wasn’t keen on “really mouthy girls”.

Someone better tell him that people don’t tend to bite their lip when they’re in that jungle…
