Holly Willoughby one step closer to making Strictly Come Dancing dreams a reality

Will we see her in sequins?

The tables were turned on Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield this week as the duo were grilled by the Loose Women.

More used to interviewing others than talking about themselves, the This Morning presenters were there to spill the beans on their newly returned show Dancing On Ice.

But chat turned to other reality shows, and which ones they’d fancy trying out.

Phillip immediately suggested: “I’m A Celebrity is the only one I’d do,” and said that creepy crawlies didn’t bother him at all.

However, Holly gave the answer we were all hoping for!

The 36-year-old said: “I think I would do Strictly. I would love to learn to dance, but I’m just not sure if I would want to do it in public!”

She added: “I tried it the other day and liked it.” before clarifying to the panel that she meant she’d tried ballroom dancing.

Back in November, Holly first got tongues wagging on This Morning when she shared a few steps with Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice.

At the time, fans were begging her to sign up for the next series of the BBC hit.

And it looks like they may be one step closer to getting their wish!

Back on Loose Women, Christine Lampard got the conversation back on track, mentioning that Dancing on Ice is potentially the most dangerous reality show out there.

She said: “For me, Dancing on Ice is the scariest. You can have real, serious injuries.”

Phil and Holly both agreed, with Phil saying: “Oh yes, when you go down on the ice – fingers in!”

The telly twosome were then set a challenge to stoke the competitiveness in both of them.

They were both presented with a block of ice, and challenged to shape it into a passable ice skate within a minute using a chisel.

They took to the task with gusto, with Holly in particular wielding her chisel like a professional!
