Lots of workers across the country have been fortunate enough to have the option to work at home today due to the inclement weather.
Some haven’t been so lucky and have needed to navigate harsh conditions and travel issues in order to perform their job.
We salute you all – and special hats off to everyone working in the caring professions and emergency services, who aren’t allowing snow to get in the way of helping others.
On Thursday’s This Morning, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield got emotional as they spoke to a nurse who spent THREE HOURS walking through the snow, harsh winds and freezing temperatures to get to her hospital.
Talk about going above and beyond…

Kat Mayer posted a Facebook Live documenting her epic journey to Lincoln County Hospital, which went viral.
In the video she says: “I am walking to work because I am crazy and I know that a lot of staff won’t be able to get to work.”
Kat thought she was appearing on the daytime show because she’d become a social media sensation over a very topical subject.
But Phil had a surprise for her – a free holiday by way of saying thanks for her selfless efforts (and general awesomeness).
He told her she and her family had a three-day trip to Barcelona.
“Oh my God, thank you so much… I didn’t expect this…,” Kat said, obviously gob-smacked.

We think there’s something in our eyes… the world is so much richer for people like Kat in it.
