Holy City star John Michie has paid a touching tribute to his recently deceased daughter on his 61st birthday.

John shared an image of Louella’s Arsenal away shirt, complete with her nickname, Lou Lou, and the number 5.

He also commented on the image to say how much he was struggling without his daughter.

“Missing our runs together so much love #loveforlouella,” he said.

Since Louella’s body was discovered at the Bestival site at Lulworth Castle in Dorset in the early hours of Monday September 11, John has been expressing his loss through Instagram.

He shared images of flowers and tributes sent by well-wishers and friends as well as pictures of Louella.

He commented: “So much love for Lou. Thank you everyone for cards, flowers & messages and thank you Holby actors for Louella rose #loveforlouella.”

John has also shared an image of a graffiti tribute made by Louella’s friends near the family home in Holloway, London, commenting: “#loveforlouella N15 6UR.”

The tragic death of Luella came after John and his wife Carol, who was formerly a dancer with the group Hot Gossip, received a phone call in the early hours and a WhatsApp map showing the location of their daughter.

The pair, who also have two other children, Daisy, 27,  and Sam, 26, drove to the festival site, over 130 miles from their London home, only to discover Louella’s body in woods surrounding the festival site following a search by staff.

Louella’s boyfriend, Ceon Broughton, was arrested at the time before being released without charge, and John released a statement about what the family believed had happened.

“Our hearts are broken by this horrific tragedy,” he said. “We do not believe there to have been any malice intended in Louella and Ceon’s weekend at Bestival.”

“They appear to have taken an illegal substance but we would appreciate cautious and sensitive reporting until the facts are known. Louella inspired all who knew her with her joy of life.

“The family would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt tributes and messages.”

Our hearts break for this poor family.
