Lisa Faulkner teases future EastEnders return

Could TV actress make a quick comeback to Walford?

Lisa Faulkner is itching for another stint in EastEnders after revealing she would love to see character Fi Browning head back to Walford.

The former Holby City and Spooks star was last seen in soapland just after Christmas as businesswoman Fi turned on her crooked father James Willmott-Brown after learning about his violent past.

But it seems the MasterChef winner is already keen on stepping back into Albert Square, especially after show bosses left the door open for Fi to return.

Asked whether the sophisticated Fi would be seen near the Queen Vic again, Lisa indicated to the Express she would be more than happy to rejoin the cast.

She said: “I would love her to. You know what, it was great playing her character.

“I had such a fantastic time and they left the door open. But gosh, who knows…”

However, if Fi does turn up in Walford, it might not be because she wants to rekindle her love with ex Max.

Actor Jake Wood recently made his own return to the soap after a short break – and with a new bride in tow for Max.

Even though Max has never allowed a little thing like monogamy bother his previous relationships, it seems he could be heading in an entirely different storyline direction by shacking up with his former wife’s sister.

Fi had been manipulated by her father to cause trouble for her erratic lover and the Carter family, but managed to partially redeem herself as she abandoned her dad and his schemes.

The character was also seen showing a softer side as she broke down talking about her mum taking her own life.

But Lisa previously hinted the role may have run its course.

“We were always clear that there would be a beginning, middle and end,” she told the Radio Times last year.

Could there be an encore for Fi?

Lisa added she hoped to play other TV parts after dedicating herself to cooking and being an author for the past few years.

“To go and play somebody else in another drama would be fantastic too,” she admitted to the Express.
