Oh no he isn’t! Oh yes he is! Harry Redknapp is set to tread the boards alongside his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here co-star Rita Simons after she revealed she had landed him a cameo in her panto.
The King of the Jungle is set to take to the stage alongside the 41-year-old actress who is playing Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty at the Bournemouth Pavilion – as well as doing the coffee run every morning.

Rita says: “I spoke to Harry and he’s going to be coming to the theatre every morning to bring me a coffee and he may also be doing a little cameo in the show.
“My producer is very happy for him to do it if he wants to. Harry wants to do it.”
The former football manager is keen to get on stage, admitting: “I am ready for a walk-on part.
“I don’t know what it’s going to be but it’s Christmas and you have got to give people a laugh.”

The 71-year-old admitted while he was in the jungle that Rita’s exit from the show didn’t mean they would lose touch. He said at the time: “I love Rita but I’ll be seeing plenty of her when I get out because she’s down in Bournemouth doing her pantomime so I shall pop up in the morning and take her a cup of coffee and a couple of jam doughnuts.”
The former EastEnders actress headed straight into Panto following her return from Australia. After two and half weeks in the jungle Rita took to the stage without having a dress rehearsal.
Rita was also thrilled to be reunited with her twin 12-year-old daughters Maiya and Jamiee. Sharing a picture of her hugging her girls, she wrote: “Haven’t seen my babies for over a month! And finally I get to do this!”

Meanwhile, Harry’s wife Sandra has revealed that her husband of 51 years is always looking for new challenges since his retirement. She said: “He knew he wasn’t going to manage another football team again, but he loves new challenges. He likes to keep busy and fit.
“He went into the jungle with the aim of giving him something else to talk about down the pub with his mates.”
