Viewers of The Great British Bake Off pleaded for the show to replace co-host Matt Lucas with contestant Lizzie.
The Scouse superstar found herself on the wrong end of the judges’ votes last night and she departed the series in tears.
However, that’s not the last fans want to see of her.
What happened on The Great British Bake Off with Lizzie?
It was the quarter-final in the tent last night (Tuesday November 9) and the tension was palpable.
In the showstopper final round, the five remaining contestants were tasked with making a spectacular gluten-free cake.

And Lizzie pulled out all the stops, producing an incredibly colourful, quirky cake that took Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith’s breath away.
She explained that the cake was a reflection of her ADHD and neuro-diversity
But, as Paul said, if Lizzie raised her game, so did the others.
Viewers were gutted as they saw Lizzie dab away the tears with her beauty blender after she was voted off.

Viewers took to social media to desperately urge the show to find a place for Liverpool-based Lizzie.
One said: “Look, I’m just saying, next season they could replace Matt Lucas with Lizzie.
“The Noel & Lizzie combo would be very powerful hosting, it’s possible the tent wouldn’t survive. #GBBO.”

It’s not the first time GBBO viewers have called for Matt’s removal from the show.
While many love his partnership with Noel Fielding, some think the exact opposite.

One said: “Please get rid of Matt and Noel.
“They’re not in the least bit funny and are highly pointless.”
Another complained about the pair’s “stupid antics”.
