Why did Adil Ray clash with MP Paul Scully on GMB?
The pair clashed over a snap of Prime Minster Boris Johnson not wearing a mask on a busy train this weekend, shocking fellow rail passengers.
The picture comes just a few days after Mr Johnson apologised for not wearing a mask during a recent hospital visit.
Adil, 47, who presented the morning show today with co-host Susanna Reid, grilled the 53-year-old MP about Boris’ lack of mask-wearing on a recent train journey.

He asked the MP: “Why don’t we say to people right now, a very simple thing, ‘when you’re in a confined area, a busy space with people you don’t know, put on a mask.'”
The Member of Parliament for Sutton and Cheam replied: “Well, that’s what we’re saying. We’re not legislating for it; we’re trying to put the onus back on to people to use common sense and have informed decisions.”

Citizen Khan creator Adil quickly responded: “In that case, why did Boris Johnson do this? Are you saying the Prime Minister’s not got any common sense and not following his own advice?”
Attempting to defend his boss, “No, we’ve seen this before…” Paul replied.

But Adil wasn’t interested in listening. Instead, he shouted back: “Mr Scully… you’ve just said you’re asking people to use their common sense when in confined areas; he’s not using his common sense. He’s the Prime Minister. He did again two weeks ago in a hospital, now on a busy train.”

And, GMB viewers were very impressed.

Another wrote: “Please please make Adil the permanent presenter for the sake of the country.”
