In the timeline, Viserys I ruled over Westeros around 100 years after the conquest of Aegon – the first king of the Targaryen dynasty who he conquered all Westeros to unite the realm.

Two of Viserys I’s children, Rhaenyra and Aegon II, fought a brutal civil war over his throne. The conflict was later known as the Dance of Dragons.
