Fred Sirieix of Channel 4‘s First Dates hit back after a cruel troll insulted his new look yesterday.
The French maître d’hôtel has dyed his hair bright red to match his Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special co-star Dianne Buswell.

Fred Sirieix debuted his new hair colour on his Instagram yesterday. In a short, 30-second long video, Fred can be seen, alongside his dance partner Dianne, with bright red hair!
“Hello guys, how are you?” the French star says. “Well this is it, this is getting serious! It’s almost time for the competition.”
Dianne can hardly keep a straight face as Fred continues with his video.
“Dianne and me, we’ve worked so hard,” Fred says, as the pro dancer makes a point of showing off her own bright red hair.
Fred then goes on to praise his Strictly co-star, calling her “patient” and “incredible”. He then tells his 790,000 that they can count on them to do their “very best”.

“But guess what. We actually believe that we can win!” he declares, as Dianne bursts into laughter. “But we need your help, we need your support, we need your votes.”
Fred then announces his and Dianne’s team name as “Team Rouge”, before they both start singing ‘Allez Les Red’.
Dianne posted a short, comedic video on her own Instagram of Fred having his hair dyed.
“The most committed Christmas partner I’ve ever had,” she wrote. “P.S this was all his idea!”

Many of the Frenchman’s fans were in love with his new hairstyle and were keen to show their support of Fred and Dianne.
However, one troll caught the attention of Fred after they criticised his new look.
“Oh Fred, how can I take you seriously now?” they wrote. But, in an unexpected twist, the French star actually saw the troll’s comment and decided to hit back!
“Life is about fun x,” the 49-year-old TV personality wrote, shutting the troll down.
Meanwhile, other fans gushed over Fred’s hair.
“You look brilliant and love your dedication to the cause,” one fan commented.
“OMG I LOVE IT! Team Rouge for the winnnnnnnnn!!! Go get them,” another fan wrote.
“Definitely got my support,” a third fan wrote.
“Come on Freddo,” Dianne commented on her co-star’s post.
“Allez èquipe rouge,” Dianne’s boyfriend, YouTube star and former Strictly contestant Joe Sugg wrote, showing support for the pair.

Fred is one of 6 celebrities taking part in this year’s Christmas special. The other celebrities participating include Adrian Chiles, pop singer Anne-Marie, newsreader Moira Stewart OBE, Repair Shop star Jay Blades, and presenter Mel Giedroyc.
