Former I’m A Celebrity Queen of the Jungle, Vicky Pattison, has suggested the reason Toff won this year’s jungle battle is because she’s made her living from being on a reality TV show.
The Geordie Shore star has said that it’s “no coincidence” that Toff won.
Scarlett Moffatt was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2016 – and before appearing on the show she was famous for being an on-screen TV critic in the Chanel 4 show, Gogglebox.
Vicky was also no stranger to reality TV, and before she won the jungle crown in 2015, she had built her career on MTV show Geordie Shore.
All three women have based their whole career on being themselves on TV – something that Vicky claims gives them an advantage over other contestants on the show.
Vicky admitted to The Daily Star that: “Hand on heart, I do think it’s an unfair advantage. We’re all used to reality TV and having cameras on us all of the time.”
Before entering the jungle, Toff was best known for appearing in E4 reality drama, Made In Chelsea, a programme that follows the lives of a group of young friends in London’s SW3.
Vicky continued: “These sports stars, or former pop stars, are great but they lack the level of self-promotion we have.
“I’m not taking anything away from anyone because I think Scarlett and Toff deserved to win, and hopefully I did too.
“But what I will say is our reality TV backgrounds have stood us in good stead.”
Maybe so, but surely no one can deny Toff was a worthy winner of this year’s crown?
Toff told This Morning last week: “I was beyond [shocked to win]. You have no idea what’s going on in the outside world. I couldn’t believe I was there in the first place.
“I was swinging on the hammock the first night we got there and thinking, ‘How on earth have you pulled this blinder, Georgia? How are you here?’
“I was among these immensely talented people and I didn’t really have any talent of note.
“Every day that went on, it got more surreal and I just loved it.”
