Kate shared a message to Twitter on Sunday, thanking fans for their support.

She wrote: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted, you will never know what it means to me.

You were robbed I had you down as a Queen, you were absolutely brilliant.

“What a privilege it is to be part of such a great team. Can’t wait to tell you all about it. First need to eat sleep and cuddle the family.

“Let’s chat when I wake up! Love Kate.”

Christopher replied: “You were robbed I had you down as a Queen, you were absolutely brilliant. See you when you get back.”

Fans had similar views to Christopher and insisted Kate shouldn’t have left last night.

One person said: “Gutted for Kate, she’s been robbed! Andy to win now.”

Another wrote: “Kate was the winner.. Absolutely robbed.”

A third added: “Kate was my winner, gutted to see her leave tonight.”

During her exit interview, Kate said of her time in the jungle: “It was amazing. Because every time you were completely terrified of facing your fears.

“Straight afterwards, there was just that euphoria that you’ve done it. Everyone was so pleased you’ve done it; there was just so much love in camp.”

Revealing why she chose to do the show this year, Kate added: “I kind of felt it was now or never. The kids were just at the right age where they could just about cope without.

“But I never thought it was going to be this hard though. You don’t really realise how hard it is.”

The I’m A Celebrity final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
