She wrote: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted, you will never know what it means to me.

You were robbed I had you down as a Queen, you were absolutely brilliant.

"What a privilege it is to be part of such a great team. Can’t wait to tell you all about it. First need to eat sleep and cuddle the family.

"Let’s chat when I wake up! Love Kate."

Christopher replied: "You were robbed I had you down as a Queen, you were absolutely brilliant. See you when you get back."

During her exit interview, Kate said of her time in the jungle: "It was amazing. Because every time you were completely terrified of facing your fears.

"Straight afterwards, there was just that euphoria that you've done it. Everyone was so pleased you've done it; there was just so much love in camp."

Revealing why she chose to do the show this year, Kate added: "I kind of felt it was now or never. The kids were just at the right age where they could just about cope without.

"But I never thought it was going to be this hard though. You don't really realise how hard it is."

The I'm A Celebrity final airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
