Take Me Out has worked its magic once again, as two stars who met thanks to its power have got engaged.
Ella Ruby and Simon Ryan met on the Paddy McGuinness-hosted gameshow a year ago, and have just announced their plans to wed.
The pair were also a popular couple on the last series of Coach Trip, where they bonded with organiser Brendan Sheerin.
Bizarrely, the two weren’t even matched on Take Me Out and didn’t get to enjoy a date on the sun-soaked Isle of Fernandos.
Instead, romance bloomed backstage and the duo began dating last springtime.
Ella and Simon announced their engagement over Twitter, and were unsurprisingly over the moon to share the news.

Simon wrote: “MASTER PLAN COMPLETED! Yesterday I went to @EnigmaQuests with a Girlfriend and left with a Fiancée @itsellaruby”.
He went on to thank some pals for helping him sort out his plan to pop the question, and for accompanying them on their night out to seal the deal.
Simon asked the nerve-wracking question during a Harry Potter-themed escape room experience courtesy of a company called Enigma Quests.
The experience promises: “Ever wanted to have magical abilities? You now have a chance to graduate from the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and prove everyone that you are a true witch or wizard!
“This is not an easy task, and will require you to be focused as never before. Your team will face obstacles and tests requiring cooperation and some bravery. Remember, every minute counts!”

Ella also updated her fans on the engagement, tweeting: “I’M THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD! My best friend @SimonRyan_ asked me to marry him and I literally can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him!”
How cute – we wish you both every happiness for the future! But will Paddy be invited to the wedding, we wonder?
