Fans fear another favourite pro has quit Strictly

There'll be running out of dancers soon if all the rumours are true

Kevin Clifton and his partner Susan Calman were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this weekend and Kevin gave a heartfelt goodbye speech.

It was so emotional that many fans are now concerned that it was Kevin’s farewell to the show and not just to this series.

Viewers were left weeping when Susan and Kevin were voted off, having become firm favourites with the voting public.

After Susan spoke about what an amazing experience she’d had, Kevin then said a few words.

“I’d like to say a couple of thank yous. When Strictly’s on, I’m not the easiest person to live with – I go a bit mad.

“So I’d like to say, first of all, thanks to my wife for putting up with me.”

With many thinking this was a response to the claims made at the weekend that he and fellow pro-dancer Karen Clifton were having marital troubles, the comments provoked a great big “Aaaah” from the tearful crowd, and in a lovely moment Karen, 35, came down from the audience to give her hubby a massive hug.

But then Kevin went on to give what sounded like a goodbye speech:

“I’d like to say thank you to Strictly Come Dancing and echoing what Susan said about everyone on it because I think in a world where not everything going on at the moment is always nice, Strictly is the one thing that brings a lot of joy and happiness into the world through the wonderful thing that is dance.

“Susan, you have been the absolute joy and epitome of joy and happiness throughout this whole competition which in my eyes makes you a beautiful dancer.”

The pair were both choking back the tears as they spoke. But many fans truly believed this was Kevin saying farewell to the show.

Kevin hasn’t made any comment on his social media pages, but this is the first year since he joined the show in 2015 that he hasn’t made the final.

With him yet to lift the glitterball trophy, we reckon he’s still as determined as ever to return and go all the way.
