The series stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a brilliant bookshop manager who, in series one, crossed paths with an aspiring female writer.

His crush on Guinevere (Elizabeth Lail) became something even more sinister when she became Joe’s obsession.

Viewers were hooked when they saw creepy Joe using social media and the internet to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle – including people – that stood in his way of getting to her.

After a shocking series one finale, Joe is back and it looks as though he’s got another woman in his sights.

In the new images, Joe is seen lurking behind his new love interest – aptly called Love – in a grocery store.

However, Joe also crosses paths with his ex-girlfriend Candace, with the pair sharing an intense-looking chat across a restaurant table.

Yaaaas! More to add to the Christmas watching list.

With the new images released, and series two set to hit the subscription service on Boxing Day, fans are already beside themselves.

Fans took to Twitter to register their delight at the return of the show.

One fan wrote: “Yaaaas! More to add to the Christmas watching list.”

“That’s Boxing Day sorted,” another said.
