Phil Mitchell’s round red face looked full of vengeance and menace when he made a mysterious call in last night’s episode of EastEnders (Tuesday 17 April).
Before he’d even uttered the words “we’ve got a problem”, BBC viewers went wild with conspiracy theories about who he was talking to…
And one name just kept coming up. Yikes!
After seeing Vincent Hubbard’s clandestine meeting with DI Franklin, Phil – parked in his car outside – made a mystery phone call.

Speaking into his mobile phone, he said: “It’s me, listen, don’t hang up. I know I’m the last person you want to hear from, but we’ve got a problem.”
Duff, duff, duff…
And, in case you hadn’t guessed, fans believe Phil was calling Aidan Maguire!
We haven’t seen evil Aidan since he left Albert Square earlier this year after Phil stitched him up.

But now Vincent Hubbard has shopped Aidan and Phil in to the police, it could be possible that Phil needs his old friend back…
One EastEnders fan tweeted: “Guessing Phil called Aidan to tell him about Vincent.”
A second said: “Vincent Vincent you have sealed your fate now and will be sent to purgatory for playing with the deadliest fire! Phil has called Aidan so Vincent better be prepared for a Jigsaw style death!”
Another commented: “Of course Phil’s probably still working with Aidan. Gotta keep the crime rate going his way rather than any other way in London eh?”

If it was Aidan that Phil rang it doesn't make much sense. Phil publicly humiliated him, and Sharon said if he came back Vincent would go to the police, so why would Phil suddenly call him wanting to do some kind of deal #eastenders

Fans of the show will have a tense wait to find out what happens between Vincent and Phil if Aidan returns.
But one thing is for sure… Vincent seems ever more likely to be leaving Walford in a box!
