Business rivals turned partners, Masood and Ian are bickering over their new venture when they’re distracted from their argument by the re-opening of the car lot.
The locals are gathering to see what’s going on – the nosy bunch – and find out who’s the new boss.
But they’re shocked when they see who’s in charge of the new-look business – it’s Max Branning!
Obviously, no one is very pleased to see Max is back.
And when he drops a HUGE bombshell on the residents of Albert Square, they’re even more put-out.
Over in the pub, Mick and Linda Carter make it quite plain that Max isn’t welcome in the pub (after everything he did to them, he’s lucky they’re even being that civil!).
Predictably, though, Max catches the eye of bad-boy-loving Mel Owen who says she’s happy for him to hang out in E20 – much to Jack’s annoyance.
When Stacey bumps into her old flame she’s surprised to see him – but her surprise soon turns to shock when she hears what he’s got to say…
And that’s nothing compared to how Martin’s going to feel when he sees that his love rival’s back in the Square.

Meanwhile, Sharon visits Max to warn him that Phil won’t be happy about him taking over the car lot.
Hmm, not sure Max is going to care what Phil thinks!
