Masood Ahmed and Ian Beale may have reluctantly teamed up in business, but they’re still rivals at heart and next week they find themselves at odds again.
Mas finds out successful local businessman Habib Hussein is holding an event and suggests to Ian that they go along – after all, it’s always good to make new contacts.
Ian, though, in typical Beale fashion, decides he’s better off going by himself.
Masood isn’t happy and determined to get revenge by calling environmental health and telling them the chippy has rats.
With Ian otherwise engaged, Mas slopes off to the event himself. But his victory is short-lived when Ian turns up and sends him packing!
After the disastrous event, Masood and Ian hatch another plan to get close to Habib Hussein and this time they reckon going through his daughter is the best plan.
They contact her through a dating website and arrange a meeting – with Mas volunteering himself to go on the date with glamorous Amal.
As Mas gets ready for the date, Arshad gives him a pep talk about how best to impress Amal. But it’s not long before he’s realised his date isn’t Habib’s daughter after all.
But the meeting isn’t a complete waste of time. Later, Amal arrives at the chip shop and tells Masood they should go on a date.
