Jessie Wallace teases Kat Slater’s return to EastEnders with iconic necklace photo

We can't wait to have the Slaters back on the Square

Ever since EastEnders confirmed that Kat Slater had taken swimming lessons as a child, survived the horrors of Redwater and was heading back to Walford, we’ve been excited about her return.

And it looks like we won’t have to even wait that long if this tweet from Jessie Wallace is anything to go by.

She shared this picture of Kat’s famous bling-tastic monogram necklace along with the caption ‘I’m home #EastEnders’ and a heart emoji, which suggests she’s already back filming.

Yay!

Jessie’s fans inundated her with messages of love and excitement at seeing the feisty lass back on the Square.

“Can’t wait for Kat’s return XX” tweeted one ecstatic fan.

Another replied to Jessie’s tweet saying: “This is all I’ve ever wanted omgggg,” followed by a string of emojis.

And a third added: “Best decision eastenders have made for years! Can’t wait bring back the good old days.”

EastEnders’ current big boss, John Yorke, confirmed Kat would be returning at a media event last month, following speculative reports.

She won’t be stepping into Albert Square alone either. Also confirmed to be returning are Laila Morse (Big Mo) and Gillian Wright (Jean).

Plus, the exciting news was announced that a brand new Slater would be arriving with them and (obviously) fans have been trying to predict who it could be.

Current favourites are one of Stacey’s half-sisters, Shannon and Siobhan, who are the sisters of Kyle (played by Riley Carter Millington), Stacey’s half brother who briefly appeared in the soap.

Fans also think Kat could have brought her murderous son, Dermot, back from Ireland after tracking him down in Redwater.

Well, we’ve not had a serial killer in Walford for a while.

It’s also rumoured that Kat’s husband, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) will follow her back to E20 at some point.
