Fans were outraged when they tuned in to watch Friday’s episode of Celebs Go Dating, only to find that it wasn’t on.
A voiceover announcer revealed that a Made in Chelsea-themed version of Come Dine With Me would air instead, but there was no explanation for the switch.
The show’s dating agent Eden Blackman had even tweeted about the upcoming episode, so was as surprised as fans.
He later wrote: “Seems #CelebsGoDating isn’t on tonight. I don’t know why but it must be for good reason. Normal service will be resumed next week.”
Celebs Go Dating features James Argent, Georgia Toffolo, Calum Best, Bobby Norris, Charlotte Dawson, Sarah-Jane Crawford and Frankie Cocozza.
Bobby wrote: “For everyone asking, I honestly have no idea why @CelebsGoDating was cancelled but I am told it will return on Monday.”

One fan wrote: “I now know how it feels to be stood up by Calum Best,” referring to the previous episode in which he’d not turned up for his date.
Wrote another: “I just sat through five minutes of Mirror Mirror credits for nothing.”
Another added: “So I’ve put E4 on for @CelebsGoDating but come dine with me is on!? [sic]. WHAT THE HELL! #notimpressed.”
The previous episode had seem Calum Best skipping a double blind date with Charlotte Dawson.
Stunning Victoria was left waiting with Charlotte and her date Travis.
“This is getting a little awkward,” said Charlotte.
“She’s just sat there like a lemon… this is not on.”
Nadia Essex, a dating expert on the show, was equally unimpressed. “Well one can only imagine how fuming I was,” she wrote on Twitter. “Standing someone up is a hugeeee no no [sic].”
