While they made it to the final four, Debbie didn’t manage to scoop the prize, losing out to actor Joe McFadden.

But even without victory, her stint on the show was enough to open new doors for Debbie.

Speaking to express.co.uk, Debbie opened up about her time on the show, and her hopes for the future.

“I’m going to be doing panto and I just want to make the most of every single opportunity,” she said.

“I’ve been so lucky to be on Strictly, it opens doors and I just want to make the most of that because that’s what being in our business is all about.

“There’s lots of things sort of bubbling and I haven’t decided on anything yet,” she continued, “but after Christmas I’m going to have a look with my agent at everything that’s come in. A yoga DVD is certainly something I’m going to consider.”

Debbie and Giovanni danced in the Strictly finale against Joe McFadden and Katya Jones, Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez, and Gemma Atkinson and Aljaz Skorjanec.

While we know Joe and Katya won, the order the other finalists finished has not been publicly revealed.
