Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are NEVER told off for giggling on This Morning

Mystery solved!

This Morning viewers are well used to seeing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby dissolving into uncontrollable giggles on the show.

Whether it’s the morning after the National Television Awards and they’re feeling worse for the wear, or simply a slip of the tongue, the sight of Phil and Holly struggling to contain themselves is a familiar one!

And now Phil has answered a question we’ve all wanted to ask: do they ever get told off for their giggle fits?!

The short answer? Nope!

Speaking to Yours magazine, Phillip, 55, said: “That’s never happened.

“Holly and I both know how far to go. There is definitely a kind of ‘laughing in church’ element to it and once we start, it can be hard to stop, but one of us manages to pull it back.”

“We get on so well and always have done,” he added.

“We have a shared sense of humour that works at the same speed.”

Meanwhile, both Phil and Holly, 36, gushed about their close friendship in a separate interview with OK! magazine this week.

When asked if they ever learn anything new about each other, Holly said: “I think you always learn, but we also have that advantage of knowing exactly what one another are thinking before it is said.”

Phillip added: “It’s not very often you’ll tell me something or I tell you something and you go, ‘No!’

“We know each other really well.”

Their chemistry no doubt contributed to This Morning winning the Best Daytime prize at last week’s National Television Awards!

Holly and Phil managed to make it into work the next day, despite a night of partying and, unlike back in 2016, they also managed to change their clothes!

There did have, however, two rather sore heads!

Thanking viewers for voting for This Morning to win, Holly said: “Can we just say thank you once again? You are the best! Thank you. It’s our eighth one. Each and every one is so important and we really love it!”

Can they make it a magic nine next year?!
