BBC reporter Carrie Gracie accidentally dropped the C-bomb while reading out the headlines on News 24 earlier this week.
On Monday’s edition of the show, the newsreader suffered an unfortunate blunder while discussing Britain’s Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
Carrie was talking about the UK Government’s response to Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a Brit who is on a hunger strike while jailed in Iran.

Twitter user Tony Morris shared a clip of Carrie’s mistake on the social media platform alongside the caption: “Best news blooper ever made just now on the BBC.”
Discussing Nazanin’s story, Carrie said: “The British government has repeatedly called for her release.
“The Foreign Secretary Jeremy [expletive] has summoned the Iranian ambassador to discuss the issue.”
It seems Carrie failed to notice her accidental slip of the tongue, however, it didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

Others were convinced the blunder wasn’t actually meant to be a mistake.
One person tweeted: “No blooper there, she paused before she said the wrong name.”
Another wrote: “Deliberately done and well said,” while a third said: “She did that on purpose,” followed by laughing face emojis.

This isn’t the first time this has happened on live TV.
In 2017, BBC Breakfast viewers were left in hysterics when Louise Minchin accidentally dropped a naughty word on air.
It happened during a serious discussion about whether schools should have sprinklers installed, while Louise was reading comments sent in from viewers at home.

Basically, Louise meant to say the word “fitted”, ended up substituting the “f” for a “s” and, well… you can guess what she said instead!
Realising her error, she sheepishly added; “Sometimes I should speak slower. Apologies.”
