Despite repeatedly turning down the opportunity to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, TV host Davina McCall has said she’d like to compete on the show – although they’ll have to wait for her.
In fact, she’s said it’s the only show she’d be tempted to appear in as competitor, instead of host.

In an interview with The Sun’s TV Mag, she admitted that the idea of being a contestant of a game show horrifies her.
“I really hate going on any kind of game show,” she said. “I find them so unbelievably stressful.”
The TV presenter, who was talking ahead of her new show The 100k Drop, claimed that The Million Pound Drop being reshaped into daytime version hasn’t done anything to lessen the pressure, despite the reduction in prize value.
“I’m really pleased that it’s made zero difference to the excitement,” she said.
The change to the show has come as the result of a programming switch – from weekly to daily.
But while she’s happy to stay in her role of presenter when it comes to game shows, she’s ready to be part of the competition for Strictly – at least, she will be one day.
“Strictly Come Dancing kept asking me for quite a long time, but I think they have given up asking now,” she said.
“I would like to do it, though – just not until all my kids have left home. If Strictly still want me when I’m 60 years old, then I’ll do it.”

Davina is mother to three children – 16 year old Holly, 14 year old Tilly, and 11 year old Chester – with ex-husband Matthew Robertson.
She announced her split from Matthew last November, after 17 years of marriage.
