Brooke Vincent apologises to Matej Silecky for Dancing on Ice struggles

And he's already replied...

The Dancing On Ice contestants have only been rehearsing for what seems like two minutes, but it sounds like some of them have already been feeling the strain.

Yesterday, Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent posted an emotional message to her professional skating partner Matej Silecky on Instagram, apologising for a bunch of things that she feels she’s been doing wrong on the ice rink.

And she finished off her lengthy post with a reminder to the American skater to “fly back” after the Christmas break – presumably, in case he has second thoughts!

Brooke, 25, plays Sophie Webster in Corrie. But when it comes to competing on the ice, there can be no acting.

And the Manchester-born star sounded full of remorse as she listed her shortcomings (we’re sure it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but still).

Alongside a picture of the pair fooling around on the frozen stuff, she wrote: “Thank you for being patient with me. I promise I’ll try and listen fully before I go off and try and do what you’re asking of me wrongly, because I didn’t listen.

“Sorry for being a snapper at times. Sorry for making you go over the same thing 20 times because I need it to be perfect.

“I will try and bend my knees more. Thank you for laughing at my jokes. Thank you for getting up at 5am most mornings with me to train.

“Thank you for moving 3,375 miles away from your family & friends to be my coach. But most of all, thank you for giving me 110% everyday for the past 2 months.

“Now…. have fun back home, rest up, fly back and let’s go get it!!!”

Well, if Brooke had any genuine doubts that Matej wouldn’t return after the festive break, the American put her mind at rest with a reassuring response.

The 23-year-old wrote: “Thank you for continually pushing for more and trying to be the best you can be!

“Thank you for being patient with me at times as well, and for being down to experiment and try new and scary things.

“Also, thanks for being so helpful and awesome with moving over here – couldn’t have asked for a more amazing partner to be paired with.

“Enjoy the holidays and a Merry Christmas to you as well! Rest up and let’s get it when we are back!”

Earlier this month, Brooke emphasised how seriously she’s taking her stint on Dancing On Ice.

The actress told OK! magazine: “I’ve done so much preparation to get there that it’s about proving things to myself, such as taking constructive criticism and instruction from someone.”

Well, we’re sure she’ll get there eventually!
