Dancing on Ice judge Ashley says Lemar has “had enough chances”

Time to get serious!

Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo has had a pretty tumultuous time on the Dancing on Ice judging panel so far.

Twice he’s been involved with split decisions involving singer Lemar, with the head judges Torvill and Dean having to make a decision on who to send home.

And twice, Lemar has lived to skate another day!

He’s seen off Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, and last week survived in place of Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring.

This came even after he’d stumbled during his skate-off routine with Melody Le Moal.

But Ashley is doling out a little tough love.

Talking to The Sun at the National Television Awards, Ashley said: “I voted for Steph but I’m pleased Lemar is there because he started a month later than everyone else.

“He’s been given enough chances. Lemar is now level pegging. If he’s in the dance-off again I think he should go.

“I always said I’d be honest and I think that honesty comes across as toughness.”

Ashley also discussed the judging differences between himself and Jason on one side, and Torvill and Dean on the other.

He thinks the divide will become more pronounced as the show continues, with his background in dance and the former Olympians more focused on the technical skating.

Recent news confirmed that DOI has been recommissioned for another series in 2019, so this weekend’s show should be even more spectacular than usual.

Just don’t trip over this time Lemar and you should be ok!
