Some thought she had gone 'overboard'

Countryfile viewers were distracted last night by Ellie Harrison’s makeup.

What did Countryfile viewers say about Ellie Harrison?

Viewers took to Twitter as the show aired and said they thought the host was wearing too much blusher.

Others were much more complementary, though, taking to social media to tell the presenter she looked “super gorgeous” and was “perfectly” dressed.

Others who didn’t enjoy the episode said she was the only thing making it worth a watch.

Ellie looking super gorgeous.

“#countryfile another cheap compilation show,” complained one viewer, adding: “Only Ellie making it worth watching.”

They added in a separate tweet: “#countryfile Ellie looking super gorgeous this evening.”

“You are always dressed perfectly Ellie,” another fan said on Twitter.

Viewers are often vocal on social media when it comes to the Countryfile presenters’ appearances.

Breaking with tradition

Countryfile viewers are used to seeing the stars of the show wearing check as the pattern of choice for their shirts.

But the BBC meteorologist, 48, chose to wear a top with a bright floral pattern.

It led some on Twitter to brand the decision ‘rebellious’ and ‘naughty’. Another joked that it showed a ‘lack of respect’, while someone else quipped that it was surely a ‘sackable offence’.
