Corrie’s Rosie Webster to get caught up in divorce scandal

The dippy window cleaner is determined to get a new career, but soon gets caught up in a scandal

Coronation Street’s Rosie Webster might not have much in the way of brain power, but she knows how to use her talents to get things done.

And when she hears that there is a vacancy for a personal assistant in Adam and Todd’s new solicitor’s office, she is determined to do whatever it takes to get the job.

As they launch their new venture, Rosie (Helen Flanagan) finds herself up against Gail Platt for the role, but is desperate to convince the men she is the right woman for them.

When they both – rather understandably – admit that they’ve got their reservations, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

After being turned down again, she re-applies using a fake name to try and get another chance at an interview.

Eventually her plan pays off and she gets a foot in the door, where an opportunity to impress her potential bosses lands in her lap when a prospective new client called Mrs Banks comes in, wanting to talk about divorce.

Rosie doesn’t hesitate to dish out the advice, charming Adam and impressing Mrs Banks in the process.

Whether she ends up getting the job or not, the woman wants Rosie on her side and she agrees to help with her divorce dilemma.

Enrolling an unwitting and oblivious Tim to help, Rosie dons her best pink overalls and heads round to the Banks house to do some window cleaning – and some spying.

When they spot Mrs Banks’ errant husband at home with his mistress – in a rather slinky short kimono (perhaps inspired by Ken Barlow?) – Rosie gets snapping pictures on her mobile phone.

And soon the incriminating evidence is on its way to Mrs Banks – but we’ll have to wait and see whether Adam and Todd are impressed by her handiwork…

Coronation Street is on ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
