Tonight’s episode of Corrie has left viewers in no doubt as to what will happen next with Eva’s pregnancy – they reckon she should hand her baby over to Toyah!
Poor Eva was stunned to realise she had a bun in the oven, especially when she worked out that the daddy was actually her cheating ex-fiancé Aidan, not her hunky current squeeze Adam Barlow. The news knocked her for six, and she’s spent the past few days agonising over whether or not she should tell Aidan her surprise news.

She finally plucked up the courage to drop her baby bombshell tonight, and arranged to meet Aidan in the Rovers. So when Peter told her that he’d spotted Aidan looking cosy with Maria in the café, Eva saw red – and marched round to give him a piece of her mind!
However, disaster struck as Eva took a tumble down the factory steps, and her new friend Shona rushed to her aid. As she took her back to the Rovers, Shona asked Eva if she was worried about her baby – unaware that Toyah was in the kitchen, and had overheard everything!
The news was certainly a shock for poor Toyah, who had been dealing with some baby heartbreak of her own. She found out on Monday that her surrogate, Jacqui, had miscarried her baby – so discovering that Eva has accidentally become pregnant was a devastating blow for the wannabe mum.
Still, Toyah put her own pain aside to comfort Eva, and insisted on taking her to the medical centre to make sure her bubba was okay. But while Toyah was thrilled to see Eva’s little’un on the monitor as the nurse gave her a scan, it was clear that Eva was much less comfortable – and she admitted to Toyah that she feels nothing for her child.
Back at the Rovers, the pair had a heart-to-heart as Eva chatted through her options with her bezzie. She even lamented how cruel it was that Toyah and Peter had lost the baby they were so desperate for, while she was carrying a baby she didn’t really want…
And her musings certainly gave Corrie fans food for thought…

Given that Toyah hasn’t been able to bring herself to tell Peter about the loss of their baby, the idea of Eva becoming their new surrogate is definitely an interesting one. If Eva agrees, could she and Toyah cook up a plan whereby Peter never needs to know that his new bundle of joy was actually fathered by Aidan? Or is the whole situation just far too messy for either of them to contemplate?

Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, viewers were stunned as Sarah fell back into bed with her cheating ex, Gary, and the pair decided to give their relationship another go. But is she headed for heartbreak given that he’s currently expecting a baby with another woman?
