Coronation Street fans worry for Gary Windass after Phelan’s daughter encounter

He's treading on very dangerous ground

Coronation Street fans are fearful for the life of Gary Windass after last night’s episode.

And that’s not because he’s doing dangerous security work in the Ukraine – it’s because he’s got involved with Pat Phelan’s daughter.

After being snubbed by girlfriend Sarah Platt, Gary headed out to drown his sorrows in a bar that – shockingly – wasn’t the Rovers.

Once there, Gary bumped into Nicola Rubenstein, with absolutely no idea she’s Pat’s daughter, and the pair hit it off.

As he shared his darkest secret, admitting he’s suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, Nicola was kind and told him he needed professional help.

They came very close to kissing, but she fled to meet her father before the pair locked lips.

Back in Weatherfield, Gary was stunned to see her stepping out of a cab, but not as much as when Sarah told him she was Phelan’s offspring.

He told her: “I don’t want to ever speak to you again.”

That’s a bit nasty, isn’t it? And actually, the last person you want to be nasty to is Pat Phelan’s daughter.

Fans are now convinced that Gary is set to meet a dark end – quite literally, as they think he’s set to be thrown in the basement alongside Andy Carver.

Phelan’s struggling to cope with just one hostage in the basement, so how he’d cope with two, we’re not quite sure.

But one thing we do know is that he’s not going to be happy with Gary going anywhere near his daughter, especially not as Gary once tried to kill him.

And if rumours are to be believed, Gary’s not going to stay true to his word and never speak to Nicola again – he’s going to father a child with her.

That basement is looking more and more likely, Gazza, watch out.
