David Platt’s temper lands him in hot water in next week’s Corrie as he lashes out at his prison cellmate, Paul.
The hairdresser will be locked up this week as he fails to attend his court appearance for attacking Gary Windass last month.
Last night’s hour-long special saw him hit badly as news of Aidan Connor’s suicide reached him.
It caused him to run away from his brief Imran Habeeb and head to the Urban Garden where he finally confessed to Shona Ramsey that he was raped by Josh Tucker.
And he will struggle to adjust to life behind bars, reacting badly when Paul gently tries to wake him.
As Paul lays a hand on him to rouse him, David springs up and pins his cellmate up against the wall, in what could be a flashback to his ordeal at Josh’s hands.
Back on the outside, Imran is doing everything he can to get David out of jail and presses Shona for the extenuating circumstances she referred to.
Will she break David’s confidence and tell Imran about the rape?
Shona pays David a visit in prison and pleads with him to tell Imran himself but he becomes stressed and upset about people finding out.
When Shona tells him she’s confronted Josh herself, he becomes very distressed and Shona fears she’s made things worse.
Later she does some digging of her own and tracks down one of Josh’s former work colleagues who makes an intriguing revelation about the mechanic.
