Corrie fans were left devastated last night as Sarah Platt received a shocking phone call telling her that boyfriend, Gary Windass, had been killed on his job out in the Ukraine.
The news of his untimely demise quickly spread through Weatherfield, and Phelan paid a visit to his estranged daughter Nicole Rubinstein to tell her that her baby daddy had died.

Sarah was initially in denial about the shattering revelation but was forced to accept it as the St Christopher she gave Gary to keep him safe had been found.
That worked well then.
Gary’s boss Joe explained there had been an explosion where Gary was guarding the boss of an oil company. He also said there were no survivors or witnesses.
But while the Platt family mourned and tried to work out how they would break the news to Gary’s mum, Anna, and sister, Faye, fans were already cobbling together a very interesting theory about Gary’s apparent death.
They seem to think that Gary has faked his death so he can come back and KILL evil builder Pat Phelan on Christmas Day.
Viewers hit up Twitter with their Gary theories.

Another added: “Gary playing dead so he can sneak back in the country and KILL Phelan…just in time for Chrimbo…!!! #sorted #busted #Corrie.”
And a third added: “I smell a rat with storyline on #Corrie……reckon Gary is to return and kill Phelan!”
Meanwhile, a suspicious David Platt also paid a visit to Nicola where he found out the truth about her carrying Gary’s child.
Initially believing Gary’s story that the pair had just shared a kiss, Nicola eventually revealed that she and Gary had had a one night stand but it was meaningless.

But when some pregnancy vitamins fell out of her bag, the cat was also out of the bag and David guessed she was up the duff.
Now David has to decide if he should tell his grieving sister about Gary’s baby secret.
