Coronation Street viewers think they’ve worked out Carla Connor’s secret – she’s pregnant.
The former factory owner – played by actress Alison King in the ITV soap – returned to the cobbles for Christmas, but viewers couldn’t help but notice the former boozehound hasn’t touched a drop of fizz since.
She went as far as to pour away her celebratory champagne at the end of the episode after revealing she had changed her mind and would invest in Underworld again.
But it was her insistence that she would be “drinking the profits away” that had viewers utterly convinced she is expecting.

She told Aidan: “You are running the gaffe, I’m just laying in my hammock in Devon drinking the profits.”
Viewers flocked to social media to share their theory.
One said: “I bet Carla is pregnant. #Corrie #coronationstreet @itvcorrie”
Another added: “And I bet she’s pregnant, when does Carla drink anything but wine?”
