Will Pat Phelan kill Liz McDonald after his spine-chilling threat in last night’s Coronation Street?
That’s certainly what Corrie fans think – and with good reason!
The unhinged builder – who has already killed three Coronation Street characters – didn’t take too kindly to the news that his wife Eileen’s outspoken friend Liz had admitted she’s not his biggest fan.
Which is walking on very dangerous territory when murderer Pat Phelan is around!

Being a good friend, Liz encouraged Eileen to go to Barcelona with her to visit her son Andy – and, in doing so, revealed she did not like Eileen’s husband Pat.
“I don’t like him…” She confessed. “That can’t come as a huge shock to you? He’s not exactly Mr Popular is he?”

Fans were left screaming at the TV, when Eileen then passed on this information to Pat! No Eileen, no!
Is this the death knell for one of Corrie’s most popular and long-standing characters?

He certainly seemed to issue a threat to Steve McDonald’s unsuspecting mum when he told Eileen: “You know what love? The older I get I realise there are only two types of people in this world. Those people who stand by you while others walk away, and those people that break your heart.”
Then, with an sinister glint in his eye, he added: “They’ve got to be cut loose. They’ve got to be cut loose permanently.”

Taking to Twitter to voice their concerns, one suspicious fan typed: “Tread carefully Liz, tread carefully.”
Another said: “Can Phelan kill Liz?”
While one spoke for many, when she echoed Phelan’s chilling words: “Cut loose permanently… That doesn’t sound good.”
Nope, it really doesn’t!
Serial killer Phelan has so far done away with Andy Carver, Vinny Ashford and Luke Britton. Is Liz set to be his next victim? We don’t think she’ll go down without a fight!
