If there’s one thing that’s going to grab people’s attention at a showbiz event, it’s a swanky new hairdo.
And Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh really stood out as she appeared at a charity bash in Cheshire sporting new, lighter-coloured locks.
Kim, 41, who plays Michelle Connor in Corrie, stepped out at Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward’s Creme de la Creme Ball – which raises money for the Caudwell Children’s charity – looking tanned and toned in a low-cut black dress.
But it was her stunning new ‘do that set tongues wagging – and we have to say it really suits her.
Kym was given her new look by hairstylist-to-the-stars Vincent Allenby, who tweeted a picture of the actress showing off the trendy tresses a couple of days before the party.
Captioning the photo, he wrote: “KymMarsh fresh new #colour Smokey honey tones on golden brown.”
The mum-of-three later retweeted the picture to her followers, and from their response it’s obvious they loved it.

One gushed: “Beautiful hair, really suits you.”
Another tweeted: “Looking good, our Kym.”
And a third fan paid tribute to the man behind the revamped barnet: “Wow, Vincent, looks stunning. A lot of hard work went into that. Well done xx.”
Former Hear’Say singer Kym really deserved to let her (new) hair down at the ball, as she’s been at the centre of some gruelling plots in Corrie lately.
Earlier this year, her character Michelle gave birth to a stillborn son, Ruairi, in a storyline that echoed a tragedy that happened in real life.
Back in 2009, Kym’s baby son with former husband Jamie Lomas died moments after she gave birth.
Kym’s stirring portrayal in the soap earned her the Best Female Dramatic Performance gong at this year’s British Soap Awards.
And in recent weeks, Corrie fans have been gripped by another storyline in which Michelle has been terrorised by former boyfriend Will Chatterton.
