With Ben Price said to be reprising his role as Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street later this year, everyone’s been wondering just why he comes back – and who he’ll connect with again.
Ben quit the soap last year, but it’s now reported that he’ll be returning in the summer.
Nick left Weatherfield after a near-death quicksand experience rattled him so much he needed to get away.
In the months preceding his departure, Nick had become increasingly jealous as his girlfriend Leanne Battersby began to bond with Steve McDonald (who is the father of her baby Oliver).

A source told The Sun that “producers are currently coming up with a bombshell way for him to come back to Weatherfield”.
And some think his ex-wife Carla Connor will be involved!
With Peter Barlow and Toyah Battersby about to head into very rocky waters when he discovers the truth about their miscarried baby, some fans were hoping that Peter might end up back in the arms of Carla…

However, Nick’s return would certainly put a cat among the pigeons where that’s concerned.

Carla’s wedding to Nick was ruined by her one night stand with Robert Preston. Nick then reunited with ex-wife Leanne, only to be unable to cope with her having a baby with Steve McDonald.
Of course, Nick could be returning to help his younger brother David in his hour of need. Dad Martin (Sean Wilson) has already made an appearance since Josh Tucker raped David.
