Coronation Street fans are no doubt counting the hours until Pat Phelan returns to our TV screens and begins his evil plan to exact revenge on the residents of Weatherfield.
In dramatic events which kick off next week, ITV viewers will see the villain they love to hate make his long-awaited comeback when Gary Windass tracks him down.
Gary, who has every right to feel angry at the man who put his mum in jail, finds Pat in Wales and attempts to take him hostage…
But this is a psycho serial killer he’s dealing with, so things don’t go according to plan.
Lucky for us, Connor McIntyre – who plays multiple murderer Pat – has teased a few more juicy details about his character’s ruinous rampage.

Talking to the Radio Times, Connor reveals: “Fate has dictated this whole thing to be resolved where it started – on the cobbles, full circle.
“Gary and his army mate Joe have trapped Phelan, as he has done to other people, and that won’t go down well. They are pushing all the wrong buttons!”
When Pat escapes, which of course he does, he heads straight for Eileen’s.
“Pat is wounded and spiteful so he does something to Eileen that dismantles the idea of his love for her,” continues Connor.
“He doesn’t make a lie of anything they felt in their relationship in the past because he does love her, but he does say something cruel and it’s quite a moment.
“The audience will be divided as to whether he ever actually loved Eileen or not, but he wants to hurt her because he is hurt. This is the last stand.”
The blockbuster week climaxes on Friday 1 June with Pat storming Michelle Connor’s wedding to Robert Preston.
Although Corrie bosses aren’t revealing who survives the epic showdown, Connor teases: “All the historical places are revisited from the Phelan storyline as are all his pathologies.
“It’s really about his grandson, Nicola’s baby, and what Phelan thinks is his legacy. With him being a control freak, if he knows the game is up his focus will go to preserving his legacy, being the narcissist that he is.”
Connor plans to enjoys some time painting and running his art studio after exiting the soap… A much more relaxing and sedate pastime than playing a psychopath!
