Emmerdale to EastEnders: Soap fans anticipate Steve and Tracy’s Corrie reunion

Expect fireworks!

There are some soap couples we all love to root for because we love them so much.

You know, sweet and affectionate couples who truly adore each other, like, for example, Laurel and the late Ashley in Emmerdale.

But there are some twosomes who we love to see bicker and get on each other’s nerves all the time.

You know, like classic sparring partners Den and Angie from classic EastEnders, who used to nag away at each other.

They were irritating for sure, but we couldn’t help but love their temperamental spats and then feel warm inside when they shared rare moments of tenderness.

Well, Corrie fans could be in for a fiery treat as a pair of cobbles favourites could be match-made once again!

It’s been rumoured that scriptwriters are about reunite Steve McDonald with troublesome Tracy Barlow!

Yes, we can already see the fireworks a mile off.

The couple have tried to make a go of things various times before over the years and have had daughter Amy between them in the process.

But for obvious reasons – one’s a nit wit, the other a manipulative and conniving so-and-so – their relationship has ended several times in a very ugly way.

But now things are looking good – thanks to some of Tracy’s interference.

Horrified at the prospect that Steve and Leanne were getting it on, she stuck her nose in and ripped the two of them apart.

Having spotted a chink in their armour, she sneakily stuck a suggestive note into a bunch of flowers that Steve had bought for Leanne.

Her devious plot worked and the pair ended up rowing and eventually deciding that they would never make a successful couple as there was just no sexual attraction!

Ecstatic that she had broken Steve and Leanne up, she giddily told folk that she was to blame and neighbour Mary Taylor twigged that perhaps Tracy still has feelings for Steve, which she went on to admit.

So are we about to see yet another recouping between Steve and Tracy?

Will they live happily ever after?

Er, who are we kidding?
