First look at Coronation Street’s Aidan Connor’s ‘return from the dead’

Aidan Connor’s final appearance in Coronation Street has been revealed.

The former factory owner tragically took his own life earlier this year in a critically-acclaimed and hard-hitting storyline.

And next week he will appear once more on screen when an interview he did as part of a student’s report into organ donation is sent to his business partner Alya Nazir.

As Alya, who inherited the factory from Aidan, watched teary-eyed, Aidan spoke movingly about saving his sister Carla’s life by donating a kidney.

“It was to my sister Carla,” he said as he was asked about who he had donated an organ to.

He added: “She needed one and I was a match. Not hard at all, it was a no brainer.”

As he told the interviewer about how he didn’t feel brave going under the knife, Alya became upset.

Aidan added:  “My family are the most important thing to me.

“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Saving the life of someone you love, it doesn’t get any better.”

Alya will be left feeling guilty over the way she took the factory from Aidan.

She told PA Sarah Platt: “He keeps going back to his family and how they mean everything to him.

“So what am I doing with their factory?”

Aidan left Alya his share of the business in his will that was written before Carla gifted him her majority share.

While his family were burying Aidan, Alya changed the locks and kicked them out of Underworld sparking a bitter feud.

But with her guilt now playing on her mind, will Alya give the factory back to the Connors?
