Celebrity Big Brother’s most controversial female housemate hints she’s headed back in

Gird your loins, people.

There’s less than a week to go until Celebrity Big Brother kicks off and speculation is mounting as to who will enter that famous house.

On Christmas Eve, I’m A Celeb fave Stanley Johnson’s journalist daughter Rachel was revealed as the first housemate for 2018, and she will lead an all-female cast – albeit initially.

Channel 5 confirmed men would later take part in the series.

It added that the show will see the housemates “take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century”.

Rachel, 52, is best known as former editor of weekly women’s magazine The Lady, previously working for the Financial Times and as a columnist for The Daily Telegraph.

Today, there is some news around who the second housemate will be, as Channel 5 has released a teaser on Twitter.

A distorted voice says: “Will I be using my womanly charms to get what I want?

“God, I don’t think I’ve got any charms.

“I’ve got the opposite of charm, whatever that is, anti-charisma.”

Fans think it’s either Charlotte Dawson or Paisley Billings, both experienced on the reality show circuit.

However, another well-known female has also got people chatting about a possible appearance in the house, following a very cryptic tweet.

Katie Hopkins, who was runner-up in 2015, wrote:

Well, the show certainly kicks off on January 2nd… does ‘tick tock’ tease that she personally will be providing the explosions this series?

We do hope so – like her or loathe her, the outspoken professional tweeter was great entertainment during her previous stay.

Meanwhile, creators of the show recently showed off an elegant revamp of the house, including a sauna, a log-burning fire, and a bathroom looking out over the garden.

There will also be luxurious double beds and an outdoor seating area with fairy lights and furry blankets.

Celebrity Big Brother: Year Of The Woman will launch at 9pm on January 2 2018, with presenter Emma Willis at the helm.

It will be followed by the return of regular spin-off programme Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal.

And we can’t blinkin’ wait!
